Interior Products of Brunswick, GA, a manufacturer of patented bendable substrates, announces econoKORE with a poplar plywood overlay.

EconoKORE is a unique 2-ply product that has a processed MDF core with a poplar plywood or high density fiber board overlay. It was designed to help the end user produce curves for less money and less labor.

"The poplar face econoKORE is much easier and more economical to use than bending ply and can reach a 6-inch radius," according to Ed Peede president of Interior Proudcts. There is no sanding or patching required and the poplar plywood overlay provides a smoother, more symmetrical laminating or painting surface.

The unique 2-ply construction offers a more stable and balanced panel that is calibrated for consistent size and thickness. The product is installed using traditional fabricating tools and methods, and can be easily bent and attached to a ribbed frame by the use of nails. There is no warping, no twisting, no size variation and no odor association with econoKORE.

EconoKORE is available in ¼" and 3/8" thickness and 4'x8' and 8'x4' panel sizes. The available face material options are a High Density Fiber Board or the new Poplar Plywood. The board weighs just 1.0 pound per square foot.
